NANOTUBE OPTICAL ACTIVITY / OPTICKA AKTIVNOST

The optic axes of the different carbon nanotubes (with direction of the beams) are indicated by the arrows. For the double axes devices, the axes' plane is shown; initially, field vectors (arrows orthogonal to the axes) are polarized in this plane. The out of  plane arrows indicate the rotated (for the angles ®      and ¯   ) field vectors of the outgoing beams. The position of the axes and the relative values of ®     and ¯    depend on symmetry group of the tube.
 
 

Nanotube: optical activity / opticka aktivnost

Opticke ose za razlicite karbonske nanotube. Strelica duz ose oznacava pravac upadnog zraka. Za dvoosne opticke nanopribore je predstavljena ravan osa, u kojoj je vektor polarizacije pocetnog elektricnog polja (strelica ortogonalna na osu). Strelica van ove ravni pokazuje polarizacije izlaznog zraka, koja je rotirana (za ugao ®      ili ¯   ). Geometrija osa i relativne vrednosti uglova  ®     i ¯    zavise od grupe simetrije nanotube
